GOOD SOLID UNIT

This unit works well in open areas.

We use these radios for spotting other drivers when backing units into tight spaces and for a backup if our mobile unit stops working

With the roof mount antenna, the unit works great at a good distance.

truly disappointing never worked a once, the lights came on and volume worked -t still failed, even after a number of other people tried to help - i even tried a number of times sitting in the truck stops - just a bad unit.

If you are making a long term investment and want to spend twice as much money, you might want to consider the Cobra as a more solid and serious hand held unit

This unit appears solid, but it does not receive well nor does it transmit anywhere near the advertised distance that it should have.

Not quite as powerful as the big Uniden dash unit and 102” whip I have on my car, but it’s also a lot less expensive and sounds just as clear

Pretty sure I received a defective unit that was returned once before as I have the exact same problem as another reviewer did who said they returned it
