great cb, although you definately need a real antenna if you are using it in a vehicle

I found that the CB is not only still useful but maybe much, much more than a smartphone in cases like this.

All functions can be operated easily enough one handed and the speaker quality is just as good or better than the Cobra since it will inevitably be held closer to you headEven without tuning my mobile antenna to it, I was able to pick up traffic on 9 channels sitting in rural MD (tuning is also incredibly simple for this CB)I have not really used it as a portable CB, but I did set it up once to ensure it functioned properly, and all was well

The weather channel came in fine but the CB was just all static and he did not like it,we gave it a chance by going about 200 miles away from home on a trip on the interstate and still nothing

I use this compact CB while traveling and it work just fine, it is small and with the cigarette plug option, I don't have to worry about batteries.
