I was somewhat hesitant to buy this unit because I've had two similar units by other manufacturers in the past which worked well

If you are looking for a very good portable unit, look no further

Very handy little unit

I'm disappointed because this type of unit is exactly what I was looking for, and especially the ability to convert it to a portable unit which should have a range of about one mile if the unit is functioning properly

Great portable unit

This unit is a real bargain and has a small footprint too.

It should work well out of the box as a portable unit, the first indicator that you've received a "good" unit.

The regular battery pack worked, and the unit that operates from your cigaret lighter

With the 2 battery packs and car option with remote antenna jack (large rf) all included this is a awesome unit

Easily attach an antenna to your primary vehicle and you have a great longer range unit

Based on the percentage of bad reviews (one or two-star), it looks like I have about a one in 8-10 chance of getting another bad unit.

I love how easy it converts to a portable unit if I decide to leave my vehicle

I mounted it on my CanAm and it works better than some of the expensive units out there, and even the ones installed in Harleys and CanAms.

Good unit

I highly recommend this unit to anyone who wants to have a CB in their vehicle without all the hassle of wiring and bulkiness of a standard CB radio.

I hesitantly took a gamble on this one based on the good reviews, as I thought such a small, compact unit could never be as good as an actual large hard wired unit.

Handhelds like this certainly don't replace the conventional mobile unit but for it's intended purpose this unit would be hard to beat for a handheld cb.
