Love that these can be used in your house, camping, hiking in the woods and in your vehicle as well.

If you're planing on using this on a daily basis I would recommend getting a regular CB if you have the room for it (I don't think a trucker would be happy using this every day).Responding to the negative reviews that say something

Seems very well built and and picks up signal as well as any handheld I have used

I've only used it a few times for CB communication and it worked just fine albeit the range isn't the greatest using just the short antenna.

If used in a car the range is sufficient to talk to close vehicles but if connected to an external antenna it improves quite a lot
