Perhaps the ground here in Montana is loaded with iron, I don't know, but if there are higher quality units on the market I would be happy to spend more money and get something that works as advertised

Yes this product works as it says it does , but it is not loud enough , I have heard a watch make a louder alarm , this is not an alarm it is useless .

We live in northwest Wisconsin with a long driveway and wanted something that alerted us to vehicles coming up the drive instead of being surprised by the doorbell, but did not think a motion sensor type would work as we also have a lot of deer in the area and figured we might hear the alarm throughout the night
