This picks up heavy metal objects

It detects large metal objects that turn into our driveway, cars, trucks

My unit is detecting perfectly there are no other metal objects nearby or passing by.

This alarm senses big metal objects passing nearby and so there are few if any false alarms

If a large metal object, (like a vehicle or golf cart even) passes by we know it!

Was very disappointed, thought this would be a good one since it would only detect large metal objects and not just a motion sensor.

Background:: my driveway alarm sounds as intended when a metal object passes near the magnetic detector

This one uses electromagnitism to detect large metal objects so it only goes off when a vehicle enters our driveway.

like it gives alert when metal object comes down driveway so animals don't set it off

Please note that this ONLY detects metal objects, not a person or animal passing the sensor.

Here is the question that I need answered: At what frequency (in megahertz) does the driveway alarm transmitter broadcast to the receiver when the detector detects a metal object

Unfortunately, it also sounds periodically and erratically throughout the day and night when no metal object is within at least one-half mile

Item does indeed work as it is at the end of a 350 foot drive, wife loves not being surprised when someone pulls in to visit.

Yes this product works as it says it does , but it is not loud enough , I have heard a watch make a louder alarm , this is not an alarm it is useless .

We live in northwest Wisconsin with a long driveway and wanted something that alerted us to vehicles coming up the drive instead of being surprised by the doorbell, but did not think a motion sensor type would work as we also have a lot of deer in the area and figured we might hear the alarm throughout the night

(I don't want to destroy a hive), but the point was - it WORKED as I wanted it to.

I think the product works as it is supposed to.
