Mighty Mule Wireless Driveway Alarm (FM231)

    • A positive signal EVERY time
    • When I found a code that stopped the false signals I raised the sensitivity in increments and backed off when I received a false signal.
    • The signal is not strong enough to reach the house, even when placed close.
    • A friend of mine has one and his works well with no false signaling.
    • I installed the sensor about 25' from the highway but moved it to 35' after getting many false signals.
    • Not perfect, but a good alarm A few false signals and a few missed ones
    • Since it is triggered by the metal in vehicles, no more false signals from deer in the middle of the night.
    • Second, the signal is medium loud, not loud so if I am over on the far side of the house I don't always reliably hear it
    • No more false signals as we had with motion detectors.
    • I had some difficulty with the receiver picking up a signal at the end of my driveway from the kitchen and had to move it to the closest outlet in relation to the sensor
    • The problem, however, is that the receiver is picking up extraneous radio signals and noise at 433 MHz
    • Received a few false signals.
    • Works in the same area as the old one much further and no false signals
    • Traffic is heavy during morning and evening work hours, but is light on Saturday and Sundays and overnight, the false signals FOLLOWED the heavy traffic times, so it's pretty certain the traffic on the road causes the false signals
    • I was still receiving false signals, most of them were nearly the same time of the day, everyday.
    • So if you are having a issue it very well could be a scrambled signal from interference of other WiFi units.
    • The receiver is about 150 foot away from transmitter and no problems with a failed signal.
    • This alarm works in conjunction with our camera by giving an audible signal so we can check the monitor to see who is there.
    • Has not false signaled or failed to signal yet, so it performs as advertised
    • Works in the same area as the old one much further and no false signals
    • I replaced it this past November but the new one gave false signals from the start
    • Can not use it, too many false signals.
    • Very simple install & RF signal worked very well
    • The unit, while being well away from electrical, telephone or neighboring roads and drives, continues to send false signals to the receiver
    • I am guessing that the false signals were being generated by passing motorists that sent a signal to the transmitter which triggered it.
    • No false signals!
    • It worked very well at first then started to send false signals to the house (which is almost as bad as no signal when you get up and seen nothing each time it goes off)
    • Second, the signal is medium loud, not loud so if I am over on the far side of the house I don't always reliably hear it
    • haven't had a false signal yet.
    • Not perfect, but a good alarm A few false signals and a few missed ones
    • Provide a port for a plugin mini strobe light, in addition to the audible signal, to alert hard of hearing users and users in a work shop environment.
    • There will also be a multitude of radio sources in any urban neighborhood, and those can represent both interference and false signals
    • I worked with it until the false signals stopped but now it doesn't work at all therefore my rating changed to one star.
    • By the way, I have had it installed for a few days and it has never picked up a false signal
    • I can also actually get an erroneous signal by using my home food slicer in the same room, but without that and no other apparent electrical interference, the problem reverted to presence of the passing traffic on the road forty feet away.
    • And despite some reviewers' comments, it also transmits a stronger signal than the FM131 did
    • [ ** .001% of the time we noticed the alarm does not sound off, perhaps, we GUESS that a bird flies between the sensor transmitter and indoor receiver at the precise moment thus interrupting the wireless signal.]
    • No trouble at all picking up the signal from the outdoor sensor
    • I think this has to do with a weak signal because of where it is
    • It is easy to set up, doesn't pick up false signals (as long as you follow the directions) and, above all, it works
    • My receiver is placed approximately 100 feet from the transmitter and my house is made of brick, no problems receiving the signals
    • This told me that the transmission was good, but there was something hindering the signal from the sensor to the transmitter
    • it arrived, we installed, and we kept getting faulty signals all hours of the day and night... to the point we would just unplug it at night
    • It is easy to set up, doesn't pick up false signals (as long as you follow the directions) and, above all, it works
    • So far we've not had one faulty signal and it has alerted every time someone has come in and out of the driveway
    • It senses cars well, but doesn't send a strong signal to the receiver
    • i like this product very well so far, lets me know when i have a visitor coming up the driveway.
    • This seems like a good solid well built unit and works exactly as we want.
    • It works as like its supposed to.
    • This is the second one I have had, love it, works great!Easy to install, and works as it should right out of the box
    • Everything works as it should, and the range is adequate for our needs
    • Works exactly as I hoped it would
    • Item does indeed work as it is at the end of a 350 foot drive, wife loves not being surprised when someone pulls in to visit.
    • Yes this product works as it says it does , but it is not loud enough , I have heard a watch make a louder alarm , this is not an alarm it is useless .
    • We live in northwest Wisconsin with a long driveway and wanted something that alerted us to vehicles coming up the drive instead of being surprised by the doorbell, but did not think a motion sensor type would work as we also have a lot of deer in the area and figured we might hear the alarm throughout the night
    • (I don't want to destroy a hive), but the point was - it WORKED as I wanted it to.
    • I think the product works as it is supposed to.
    • The unit was easy to install and worked as it was meant to work.
