Mighty Mule Wireless Driveway Alarm (FM231)

    • I moved the transmitter to about 150' from my house and it works excellent
    • The transmitter on the first was knocked off and ruined by rain.
    • When I got the new one and I checked individual units and found the transmitter was the culprit.
    • My transmitter is right at 800 feet from the base and works reliably.
    • My transmitter is right at 800 feet from the base and works reliably.
    • I presume that the packet switching allows me 16 selections to block out other packet transmitting devices such as garage door openers but not cheap hobby transmitters
    • The reason for the 3 stars, instead of 5, is that the first three (3) units I purchased were completely defective (bad transmitter
    • My driveway is just over 250 ft.**I would NOT recommend this product to anyone that needs to position the transmitter greater than 100 ft from the receiver -- think twice before ordering this product -- completely disappointed.
    • I installed the transmitter about 300 feet from the receivers and it would not work dependably
    • I've lost two transmitters for different reason;tree limb smashed one and the other one had an ant colony living inside the transmitter and the wet eggs shorted out the circuit board
    • The only thing a have concerns about is the plastic housing that protects the transmitter
    • My radio spectrum analyzer shows that the radio band in which 433 falls is extremely busy and busy with many low cost, poor quality hobby transmitters and many harmonics of other frequencies.
    • The problem we've found is that the transmitter isn't very powerful
    • Transmitter and receiver are at least 300' apart with some foliage and trees in the way and it still works every time.
    • Only thing I would change is a better way to support the transmitter in the ground
    • I initially set this system up at my gate about 200 feet from the receiver in the house, The transmitter and receiver were basically line of sight after I put the receiver in the window, at that distance the alarm didn't always work
    • We even moved the transmitter closer to the house well within range and direct line of sight and it still did not work.
    • This is a replacement for an earlier model that was knocked down by the cows, breaking the transmitter
    • I would find out which is weaker the transmitter or receiver.. and boost it considerably.. or allow the receiver's antenna to be connected to coax for external mounting.
    • This seems like a good solid well built unit and works exactly as we want.
    • It works as like its supposed to.
    • This is the second one I have had, love it, works great!Easy to install, and works as it should right out of the box
    • Everything works as it should, and the range is adequate for our needs
    • Works exactly as I hoped it would
    • Item does indeed work as it is at the end of a 350 foot drive, wife loves not being surprised when someone pulls in to visit.
    • Yes this product works as it says it does , but it is not loud enough , I have heard a watch make a louder alarm , this is not an alarm it is useless .
    • We live in northwest Wisconsin with a long driveway and wanted something that alerted us to vehicles coming up the drive instead of being surprised by the doorbell, but did not think a motion sensor type would work as we also have a lot of deer in the area and figured we might hear the alarm throughout the night
    • (I don't want to destroy a hive), but the point was - it WORKED as I wanted it to.
    • I think the product works as it is supposed to.
    • The unit was easy to install and worked as it was meant to work.
    • i like this product very well so far, lets me know when i have a visitor coming up the driveway.
