When the first alarm stopped working I called their technical support for assistance, and although they couldn't resolve my problem I found them quickly accessible and helpful.

I've stationed that transmitter at 1100 feet down the drive (and up in a tree), and it seems to be working just fine

As soon as I was finished, the unit stopped working and recalibration did not correct the problem

So, I put the dirt back in the trench and the detector has worked great since.

Once set we buried it and has worked great.

This has eliminated that problem and has worked flawlessly for the past month.

So I dug it all up again and moved it to 195 feet away from the receiver, as before, all worked well until I buried the sensor

I have had 2 of the infrared alarms over the years and they never did work very well.

A friend of mine has one and his works well with no false signaling.

I am putting one at our family beach house as well.(I got a few false alarms at first, but reinstalling it into the ground tightly to avoid shifting and "rebooting" it by removing & replacing batteries as Mighty Mule Tech advised worked.)
