I have also worn it swimming and the monitor works very well that way also.

There isn't any Tech info that tells you much about how the Shine works, and you can't adjust it to your stride

That's said the auto-sleep tracking function of Shine works when users go to bed from 7-8pm to 3-5am

I found that it was pretty poor at measuring real work or strenuous climbs, pretty much just measuring your steps the same whether you were walking on level ground, uphill, digging ditches, making love, etc

and it stopped working after a few months as well
