Guess what, after using this for 4 weeks, I have lost the main device

Simple, yet versatile, device that can be worn in just about any manner that you need for my activity (wrist, belt, sock, shoe, pocket, etc.).

I cannot recommend the device because of its tendency to pop out of its band and become lost

Overall, it's a good device that meets most of my needs; I just wish the monitoring were as pretty as the device is.

I would not recommend this device just due to the strap issues.

Since I work a thrilling desk job as a customer service representative, I wanted an uncomplicated device to track my movement and allow me to maintain a minimal level of exertion throughout the day.

I have had this device since April and it hasn't worked so well.

The Misfit Shine Activity and Sleep monitor comes with one black band, the Misfit tracker device in the color you choose, the battery, the attachment for the wrist band to hold the tracker more securely, and a small tool to help raise the back piece to insert the battery.

Excellent device, user friendly and the support from misfit is absolutely amazing!

Overall the Misfit Shine is a good product and the reason I am giving it 2 stars is because the actual device get loose so easily from the watch strap

Also they do not sell the replacement bands that match the Speedo Shine making the device look awkward on your wrist

Customer support was quick to reply and offer ways to help me locate the missing device, but as soon as it was determined the device was gone and not emitting a signal for detection anymore they stopped responding to me

That's right, 2 months and some change for $75, and suddenly the device won't sync, and then it totally died.

They are the nicest, sweetest, most caring people and the bottom line is if you're looking for a lightweight no fuss activity tracker, the misfit shine is the device for you!!!!

I also like the fact there is no re-charging, the device uses a battery.

It would be the perfect device if it was permanently attached to the strap but can't recommend it without reserve when it's so easy to lose permanently.

Although the Shine is a beautiful device, I didn't like the constant anxiety about it popping out of the band, and I *really* didn't like having to move it to my foot to capture cycling.

There is an app called Misfit finder if you are lucky enough to lose the device in your home or other easily searchable location.

So bottom line, I would NOT recommend this device, especially if you plan on using it for swim tracking.

I would love a device which would sync on its own, which could have woken me up in proper sleep phases, and was waterproof.

The device is fine, but the engineering on the clasp and other holders makes it too expensive to risk

While I never took the shine off or switched bands, the wrist band became stretched and the device kept falling out

I'm happy to say that because of the battery charge issue and the fact that it fell out, Misfit is replacing the device for free

Here are my cautions for buyers-to-be: if you're not tech-savvy, spend time (an hour) up front with someone who is tech-savvy to learn the device; you need a tablet or cell phone that is blue-tooth compatible in order to get the reports on activity, etc.; buy your Misfit ONLY from an authorized seller (directly from Misfit or from Amazon as seller and fufillment); if you're going to use the original band, use a little Gorilla glue to make sure the device stays secure in the band (or buy a secure band) to avoid losing the Misfit.

This is an activity monitor and the band cannot securely hold the misfit device with any certainty

Still at half the price of the others I lived with clips failing and even figured out a safety chain because if you use clip you will lose the device unless you add a safety chain
