Misfit Shine - Activity and Sleep Monitor

    • It was an awesome way for me to keep accountable on how much I was moving each day
    • The social network stuff is optional; no way I'm broadcasting my [lack of] fitness to the world
    • I REALLY dislike the way it displays time
    • She likes the way it looks, that it's smaller than most fitness trackers, that you never have to charge it, and it's versatility
    • I love the way the App keeps me informed of my steps, miles, calories, weight and sleep
    • I loved the way it looks on my arm
    • My Shine worked well for about three months and then it lost its way
    • I don't see just giving a refund as a smart way to do business on their end, but it worked out for me
    • I think they need to work out a better way to keep it in its band
    • The deep end of my neighborhood pool is 10 feet or so, so I'm good either way.
    • I liked the way it worked and served it's purpose but fell out of the wristband
    • That was a great way for the shine to travel but bad for recording my steps
    • more a fault of the strap and the way it holds the actual device, but still that leaves me with a lost device.
    • Please Misfit make a better way of securing the devise, apart from that you have a great product!!!!!
    • I do plan to get another because it worked great, but I will fashion some more secure way of pinning it to my clothes.
    • It just keeps popping out of the bracelet, the best way to lose it, this is the 4th replacement we got.
    • The best way to solve this problem is to sit still and/or take off the Shine when you aren't on your feet
    • I was nervous about it being "waterproof;" nervous that it wouldn't be worth the sixty dollars I'd paid for it; and nervous that I would lose interest or hate the way it looked/felt/worked and not want to use it
    • This is a great way to track your activity and sleep
    • i love the way it looks
    • Sometimes, your activities are not getting tracked the right way - sometimes even the 3rd new battery won't work
    • Pros it is cheap and if you want to find out if tracking is for you its a decent way to find outCons1
    • I like the way this tracker works with my phone.
    • I love the way this device functions
    • Either way I consider their platform a fail due to this
    • I loved it, but for a few cons: syncing should be easier, it should link to android s-health, and a way to track where it is on the phone would be nice; so I would say 4 stars
    • I have also worn it swimming and the monitor works very well that way also.
    • so I can't clip the thing to my shirt (which is my favorite way to wear it) because it's fancy and shiny and she loves it so it immediately becomes a choking hazard
    • Putting on a sweater, bumping it just the wrong way doing laundry, or playing with my kids at the park.
    • , I tap it (what a stupid way to make it go
    • I was excited thinking it to be an easy way to count my
    • I liked the way it looks and the band is secure
    • I have linked my misfit app with myfitness pal app, I love the way it integrates the data between the 2 apps so I can monitor my food and movement together.
    • I was annoyed that it was so fragile, but I liked the system and the way the device worked and
    • That's a fantastic way to build brand loyalty, and I was really happy to be a Misfit user
    • there!)- face easy to read - the device responds well to the tapping- clever way of displaying
    • I like the way it shows the time too
    • I also didn't really like the way it looked or felt, like a hospital bracelet
    • Personally I like the way the Shine looks in the plastic band.
    • Doesn't look like there is a way to get my money back on this since its lost!
    • Having it on my wrist is not only a good way to keep track of it, but it forces me to remember to stay active
    • That way you can put any strap on you like!Mine is currently on 1 of 3 NATO straps, so I will never lose it again, yay!
    • On top of it all, the Misfit is waterproof, it keeps track of time in a cool way, and with all of its accessories it makes it fashionable
    • Love my misfit shine and the way it interacts with the Virgin Pulse website
    • I think it's a reasonable price for the gadget, and most importantly it's doing exactly what I hoped for... motivating me to get more active, in a fun way.
    • Overall, it's a great way to motivate yourself and keep track of your activity.
    • The misfit provides an easy way of checking my progress each day.
    • The misfit definitely helped with the weight loss/maintenance, it is a great way to monitor my movement throughout the day, especially when it lights up all the way round to show I have completed all of my steps for the day
    • (Not hard and fast, but does give a good idea of what you need to do to lose, gain, or maintain weight.)Overall, I think this is a useful, stylish, and inexpensive way to track your fitness and diet progress.
    • really like the way it tracks my fitness activity and my sleep habits.
    • The misfit provides an easy way of checking my progress each day.
    • At night in the dark a great way to see what time it is, just two soft taps and the clock face illuminates
    • Love my misfit shine and the way it interacts with the Virgin Pulse website
    • I love the way it looks.
    • Only thing to argue about: I asked very friendly to replace my blue Misift to a silver one, which would hide the ugly scratches on the surface in a really effective way
    • Waterproof, wearable anywhere, affordable, "entry level", matches/syncd up with other aps if you want more features, this has been a great way to "test the waters of fitness trackers".
    • It is rubber, so common sense would dictate that if you hit it just right or torque your wrist just right way that it might pop out, but I've had no issues at all and I am by no means gentle with it
    • I'm a cyclist and would love to have a better way to wear the Shine on/around my shoes.
    • This is by far my favorite fitness tracker I've tried both for the sleek fit and comfort as well as for accuracy
    • After reading the numerous reviews and looking at other activity monitors I decided to go with the Misfit Shine as I wanted something that would integrate with my business clothing, provide accurate readings for activities, monitor my sleep cycle, and I really wanted something that was waterproof.
    • I find that I really do want to meet my activity goals, both for sleep as well as for physical activity
    • As per other reviews I feel the device is let down by the poor design/quality of the strap which I very rapidly learned not to trust as it doesn't secure the Shine safely
    • My only criticism is that it pops out of the wrist band and it very easy to lose (as you will see from other reviews)
    • Its just as accurate as when I walk or run
    • I bought the so-called "Speedo" version of Shine from Misfit site directly in Sep as soon as it's available, and was highly expecting it
    • I was really hoping this would work out as I needed an activity tracker for the swimming pool.
    • I always wear it on my wrist but there is the option of wearing it as a sort of lanyard type thing as well as you can buy additional pieces to wear it as a necklace etc
    • It's so much more stylish than a FitBit, as well as being cheaper.-Accuracy
    • The item doesn't work as it will not hold a charge.
    • Ok, so I tried just now and it worked as it should, showing progress and then time
    • I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
    • Very unhelpful as by then you have to start trying to sync all over again
    • Don't use your money on this, as totally cool as it seems.
    • A few times it worked as it should, tap twice, show progress
