Setting the fuzz about 9 o'clock gives a nice overdriven sound that is extremely transparent.

There are quite a few fuzz pedals on Amazon for under $60, but most of them did not seem very durable, vintage sounding, or versatile(all the things I was looking for) from the reviews I was reading
