Pros:They do block a lot of outside sound

Huge relief to those of us w/ sound sensitivities; and the price was waaay better than a lot of the ones out there.

They're particularly helpful during air travel, muffling the constant and wearying din a lot even if you don't listen to anything with them on.

Once you turn the volume up, though, there will be a lot of distortion and the sound will really suffer
