Installation was easy -- a call to Comcast tech support was not required.

Only difficulties I had was on Spectrum's side and required their tech support. . .

Since it's within warranty, I'm contacting tech support, but I think I'm modem shopping again!Update: according to the tech support specialist, my issue is 'corrupted firmware' OR a bad power supply and the modem needs to be replaced.

I decided to just try again the next day by calling TWC Tech Support and sure enough the lady I spoke with had me up and running in less than 5 mins

We are seniors and appreciate simple installation instructions and the Motorola tech support if needed

However, even with tech support, Time-Warner cable will not be able to reset the modem to obtain 300 MB Internet download speed.

So the installation instructions are plug in the power cord, connect Cox cable, connect network cable, call Cox, twiddle your thumb for 20 - 40 minutes, cross your figures that the Cox customer support person is not incompetent and that you will not be transferred to tech support and repeat the wait and prayers

Upon receipt I hooked up all the connections and called Xfinity Tech support to have it activated

A tech-support person came by our house and recommended that we get a new modem and a new router, again

You may have to call tech support to activate.

After 35 - 45 minutes with tech support, it worked.

I thought this would be a real drag considering the extensive amount of outsourcing of tech support to foreign country's now a days
