    • The recharge lights come on sometimes, sometimes they do not, as if the contacts are dirty
    • Doesnt have 23 miles range, we lost contact after we were testing for 8 blocks
    • So, to keep in contact with family when we are split in a museum or hiking, I bought these walkies.
    • In the hills of Pennsylvania, you loose contact within 1 mile
    • Contact is intermittent, and you cannot be sure they are charging.
    • The units turn themselves off randomly and often times making contact is difficult even if only about 1000 meters away from each other if the vegetation is remotely thick.
    • At first we thought the batteries were failing but it seems to be an issue with the batteries not fitting as tight as they should and a good bump will make them lose contact.
    • They broke after about two weeks of moderate usage with no abuse.3 - the batteries don't hold a charge worth a crap4 - you have to jiggle the units in the charging base to make sure that they have the right contact to actually take a charge5 - last and worst.
    • While I did not test out the Mountain top to Valley for the maximum 23 mile range, I used them when travelling with a friend on the highway and never lost contact.

    • Since they were not purchased with the intention of using them a a distance greater than a mile or two this is not a problem.
    • tech recommended resetting them, by pulling out the battery and letting them sit for over an hour... as silly as that was, it worked and the units haven't had an issues since!i've locked the buttons so my kids don't accidentally mess around with the units.
    • Not recommended as it was a complete waste of money from the start.
    • They hold charges for a couple hours, clip on clothes easily and work as far as we need them (a few blocks radius).
