You have to remember that manufactures put cheap low wattage (800mAh) battery packs just to be nice and give you one

The rechargeable packs make life easy close to civilization

Battery life is a little disappointing as you need to charge them daily but since they use micro-usb chargers it's super easy to use a portable battery pack or solar charger for camping.
