Solid construction, durable components, great transmission and reception over broken terrain and considerable distance

We tested these radios in a suburban neighborhood and found they had great reception even from within a home or basement when transmitting to others over 1/2 mile away also inside homes.

Good Reception, great features

Went on a 5500 mile trip and did not get very good reception at distances over 500 feet, Says it has 2 mile range and barely gets 500 feet on the highways.

Very inconsistent reception while traving

Used 8 times since purchase:... solid build quality... clear reception and transmission... range is adequate for my typical use = less than a mile... typical motorola screen icons and prompts

Works great and reception is very clear, even on distant FM stations

but if you lay the handset on the passenger seat the reception drops to zero

gets poor reception the Motorola does not

The midland was able to have clear reception at also .25 miles

even its position on top not the bottom, love the reception of the weather channel
