Mr. Coffee 5-Cup Coffee Maker, Black (4 Cup-White)

    • Nice for 2 people, but make sure you turn it off or the hot plate will burn out.
    • Cons: leaked from bottom of filter reservoir filterBottom of filter reservoir leaks, warming plate definitely stains and hard to clean water
    • Quick, quiet, and the hot plate function for keeping it warm is nice...but don't forget about it or you will have evaporated coffee stains in the pot
    • Plate wouldn't get hot
    • The hot plate can crack as it ages but it still makes coffee well albeit spills go into the bottom of the plate and leak on the table, or the off/on switch
    • I bought it in August 2016 and it stopped brewing and the plate wouldn't get hot this week
    • The hot plate on/off switch stopped working and without that, the entire coffee maker was broken
    • [ many clones of Mr Coffee produce very hot water and scorch the beans]Perfect for 2 mugs of coffee per carafe, each 'cup' is 5 oz onlyThis model came with a plastic reusable filter, in all my prior models, you bought that separateSmall form, doesn't use much counter spaceConsLasts about 8-10 years, it can be made to last longernot auto shut off: if you forget it and the coffee evaporates fully, the hot plate may crack, and the carafe will be very hard to cleanShort plug cordWhat I do to prevent burnt coffee is after a brew I place the excess coffee in a thermos and turn Mr Coffee off, and unplug it.
    • Does not shut off warming plate after any amount of time

    • Finally wore out the warming plate
    • The hot plate on/off switch stopped working and without that, the entire coffee maker was broken
    • The hot plate will likely be the first thing to wear out.
    • The old one was still working but replaced it because it started to look dinghy(hot plate) was showing signs of wear
    • The hot plate can crack as it ages but it still makes coffee well albeit spills go into the bottom of the plate and leak on the table, or the off/on switch
    • Button still turns green, but the hot plate won't heat up
    • Can't believe they even make them anymore without auto shut-off (it's simply unsafe), let alone explicitly state in the ad that it has this function when it does not (and the little manual that comes with it states the opposite -- that the hot plate remains hot until you manually turn it off or unplug it).
    • The only issue I have with it, is that the hot plate must be a little too hot, because if the coffee sits in the pot close to 1 hour it will already taste very burnt
    • If it had an auto shut off for the warming plate, I would have left 5 stars.
    • All in all, this unit performs in a manner I have come to expect from this brand; However, unlike my previous 8-cup version, the hot-plate coating on this model began peeling after 3 months of once-a-day use -- as opposed to its predecessor, that amazingly lasted (w/carafe) nearly 15 years w/o any peeling whatsoever
    • Subsequently, the hot-plate itself began rusting after 6 months
    • The reservoir lid does not like to close without extra effort and although I may fill the reservoir to the brim of 5 cups, it overflows and has already eroded part of the paint covering the warming plate after just 30 uses.
    • I found letting it sit a few minutes on the hot plate after being brewed helps it achieve the temperature i prefer for coffee.
    • This one makes the coffee good and hot and the warmer plate keeps it piping hot!
    • It make very hot coffee and it keep it hot with a very hot heating plate.
    • The only reason I wanted a new one was because the hot plate got worn
    • The light for the operations switch is on, but no brewing action at all, and the warming plate does not heat up either
    • But, two, my primary frustration with it was quickly realizing I had to remove the pot IMMEDIATELY from the warming plate and set It aside, or the coffee remaining in the pot would be BURNT in a matter of moments.
    • Subsequently, the hot-plate itself began rusting after 6 months
    • Just as good as I knew it would be
    • Have no complains as of yet, its a 4 cup coffee maker n so far it works n heats my coffee
    • I spent a lot more for two other machines and this coffee is as good as those made.
    • Have had it over a month, and it works as if I had just taken it out of the box.
    • But I cannot complain as it is cheap.
    • Coffee tastes just as good as if it had come from a fancier single cup maker
    • I always get this one, somehow I break them a
    • It tastes just as good as if I bought it daily at a coffee shop and is a fraction of the cost.
