Mr. Coffee BVMC-PSTX95 10-Cup Optimal Brew Thermal Coffee Maker, Stainless Steel

    • And talk about fast brewing.
    • With Pause 'n Serve, Removable Water Reservoir, Fresh Brew Timer, Cleaning Cycle and aforementioned filtration they seem to have though of everything
    • And I'm even revising my review to say that optimal brew seems to generally be true
    • Fast brew cycle and puts out a very hot and good cup of coffee.
    • The leaking or poor brewing is terrible on this thing!
    • Fast brewing, easy cleaning.
    • In addition, this Coffeemaker is engineered to heat water up to 205 Degree Fahrenheit, which is the ideal brewing temperature to optimize flavor from the grounds
    • The brewing is super fast, water heats up instant
    • Another great feature is a fresh brew that shows you how long your coffee has been waiting.
    • Thinking this long brew was a cleaning issue we now run the cleaning process well before recommended but with no improvement.
    • Best thing is that it really does speedy brew, coffee doesn't taste any different than slower brew and I have always wanted the stainless carafe but put off trying it.
    • The carafe keeps your brew hot for hours
    • No brew strength like other Mr. COFFEE models
    • Definitely set the timer ~30 or so minutes before you want to have a sip because it is HOT when it is fresh brewed (this coming from someone who likes
    • It also has a delayed brew feature, which I really like-
    • I especially like the "fresh brew timer" which lets you know (in 15 minute increments) how long it has been since the coffee was brewed.
    • Agree with both the strong plastic taste and the unfortunately very weak coffee brew
    • Mr. Coffee BVMC-PSTX95 10 Cup Optimal Brew Thermal Coffeemaker, Stainless
    • I highly recommend the thermal brew because your coffee doesn't get burned from being left on the burner for several hours.
    • Quick perfect brew.
    • All the plain water from the cleaning brew was still in the pot, then a full 10 cups of coffee gets brewed and tries to fit into a full pot of 10 cups of water
    • Even fresh brewed, it's not hot enough.
    • It fits in place OK, just that holding the last of the water that can't be siphoned out when brewing is an engineering glitch.
    • A wonderful feature: as soon as brewed, a timer shows how long the coffee has been sitting
    • Now that other coffee pot makers are designing units to process in the optimal coffee brewing range (195-205 degrees, I think) there are probably a few nice options.
    • Some other reviewers suggested that they needed to use two filters or more coffee to get the right brew, but that hasn’t been an issue for me
    • This 10 cup is worse as the coffee brews nowhere near 200 degrees as stated
    • This "Optimal Brew" coffeemaker does a fine job making delicious cups of coffee.
    • Less than 10 pots in, after brewing a pot, while carrying the filter basket to the garbage, the handle falls off
    • Also, besides for brewing terrible coffee, the water reservoir is annoying to use
    • Overall, it's a modern fast brewing machine and the aroma of coffee was much more prominent when it brewed, which I love
    • The seal on the actual coffee pot is bad and it drips out the side, the "automatic stop" lever doesn't work... if you pull it out, it just keeps brewing and leaking everywhere
    • And this pot doesn't have a "strong" brew button to slow down the brewing process, a feature that many other Mr. Coffee pots have
    • I decided to buy this one because of the "Optimal Brew"
    • Pros:-Looks stylish-Delayed Brew enables you to make the coffee the night before and the machine automatically brews it whenever you set it to (a must for me)-The pot stays cool to the touch so you can put it on the counter

    • And this pot doesn't have a "strong" brew button to slow down the brewing process, a feature that many other Mr. Coffee pots have
    • This brews and sits in thermos type carafe with no extra heat and no water burned off.3
    • Fast brewing is definitely a plus, the filter basket does not sit level on the counter surface, the coffee is weaker than our previous
    • Even if you let it complete a brewing cycle it will still leak
    • Fast brew
    • The optimal brew helps the coffee to taste like what you would get in a really good diner.
    • I also adjusted my grinder for a finer grind than I had been previously using to make cold brew coffee.
    • Despite running the cleaning cycle as instructed in the manual, the clean cycle indicator light has remained on, disallowing normal brewing at times
    • Fairly easy to use, and lightning fast brewing; but not great coffee
    • Fairly easy to use, and lightning fast brewing; but not great coffee
    • Unfortunately, I had expected a much better brew from the reviews.
    • If you want to use a permanent filter I highly recommend using one that drains through the bottom as one that didn’t produced a more bitter brew.
    • I highly recommend the thermal brew because your coffee doesn't get burned from being left on the burner for several hours.
    • Really fast brew time!
    • If you aren't careful about snapping in the water filter that goes over the grounds basket, your brew will leak all over your counter.
    • my purchase will likely raise my coffee budget by having to add more coffee per pot due to the trade off of weaker coffee for faster brewing
    • It also has a delayed brew feature, which I really like-
    • I'm spoiled and have an SCAA-certified Oxo Barista brain brewer at the office, which can do even better, but is also nearly $200; 3 times the price of this Mr. Coffee 'Optimal Brew' maker.
    • It has kept my coffee warm overnight when brewed in the afternoon
    • I used to use filtered water in my last machine, but I can use tap water with this and get a fantastic brew
    • Best thing is that it really does speedy brew, coffee doesn't taste any different than slower brew and I have always wanted the stainless carafe but put off trying it.
    • I love how quickly this brews a robust pot of
    • The other one had gotten too slow brewing despite cleaning attempts
    • Every brew tasted like plastic
    • If you always brew full pots, it's great, as 5-minutes is close to the ideal brew time for coffee
    • While the coffee maker comes with a two hour "fresh brew" timer that indicates how long the coffee has been made (up to two hours) and then beeps after it hits the two-hour point, the coffee says hot for much longer than that ... and it seems to stay fresh, too (I'll admit, I don't have the most discerning palate, but I do know bad coffee). This makes great coffee, and it's easily the most attractive coffee maker I've owned
    • It is well built, fast brew time, easy to clean and maintain
    • There's a Fresh Brew timer that lets you know how long the coffee has been ready
    • I bought this because a friend had it and the coffee was hotter than my fresh brewed almost 1/2 hour after it was brewed.
    • and I’d find water and sometimes fresh brewed coffee all over the counter
    • Last year, I bought the most basic Mr. Coffee, 4-cup (in reality, 2 mug) machine which is still making excellent brews.
    • and you have to use a ton of grounds with this to get halfway decent brew
    • Love the super quick and hot brewing!
    • This is my second Optimal Brew Thermal Coffee maker and I must say that I am terribly disappointed
    • They have made a statement with the Optimal Brew and you will be proud to have it on your kitchen counter.
    • Even fresh brewed, it's not hot enough.
    • The temperature of the fresh brewed coffee is HOT!
    • Brews fast, brews great, brews clean, brews consistently
    • Leaks out of the side when brewing.
    • The brew was ok, not excellent but ok.
    • On previous coffee makers the stop brew would always drip down onto the heating unit burning the coffee that then had to be cleaned off.
    • Finally the brew-later timer feature just quit working all together
    • fast brew and keeps coffee hot.
    • Since I would always get working after brewing a large pot, I would inevitably drink mostly burnt sludge off my Bunn.
    • Coffee stays hot almost all day, it tells you when to clean it, then cleans it for you, easy to program, and FAST brew time,
    • Good coffee, and fast brewing!
    • Stopping mid brew by removing the carafe works great too, not a drop drips when there is no carafe
    • I ran two brews -- same pre-ground coffee, same amount (two level scoops using a big spoon I have, which ends up being about 19 grams, total), same 8-cup marking on each machine.
    • On the design side, the biggest issue is the rather tight alignment or registering of the carafe into the machine when brewing
    • This is an "optimal brew" pot, which Mr. Coffee claims means that the water is at just the precise temperature for a perfect brew, and maybe it is
    • There are some great things about this coffee pot, but do not buy if you want (a) strong coffee or (b) to not have to clean up the counter every other day
