This coffee maker makes great cups of coffee

Fast brew cycle and puts out a very hot and good cup of coffee.

I purchased one of these 10-cup Optimal Brew coffee makers about a year ago because it was supposed to heat water to the optimum brewing range.

If I want some piping hot coffee, instead of filling it with cold water, I have to put in hot water to enjoy a good cup of HOT coffee

You won't get a good tasting cup of coffee from a coffee maker after it has been sitting on a hot plate for 2 hrs, so with that said I definatly recommend this coffee maker with the thermal pot, no hot plate to overcook your coffee

I have to brew a full pot of water only just to get the heating element up to temperature, and after I do add coffee grounds, I have to dump out the first 6 cups because they're watery

So take your chances if you like b/c this seems to happen sporadically so maybe you'll get lucky.
