I cleaned the machine thoroughly and I ran it several times before using as well as have made several pots and never drank much of the coffee because it tasted like coffee from the wasteland

The machine is very attractive and well made, sturdy and sleek.

Again, decent machine that lasted awhile, but irritating enough that I'm looking for something else.

This machine is just lovely, carafe leaves the coffee piping hot, haven't had any issues with use but the coffee it produces is so weak I might as well be drinking hot water.

Otherwise, this is a well-made machine that delivers a tasty cup.

The machine is inconsistent, and most of the time, the coffee (if you want to call it that) comes out looking like weak tea rather than coffee

Overall I’d actually give this machine a 3 star rating but it gains a star for the carafe

but my machine no longer keeps my coffee hot.

As a result of not having the heating element going all of the time and drinking all of the coffee that we brew, we expect that this coffee maker is saving us money versus our previous more dangerous machine.

I also agree that the coffee does spill quite often when pouring a cup but all in all it's a good machine worth purchasing

I have since found an amazing machine and I can't say it is not from Mr. coffee

This is a surprisingly bulky machine

First, it's touted as a 10 cup machine

Comming from a cheaper Mr Coffe machine I could immediately tell the difference in quality between brews

it makes perfect coffee and even better it doesn't leak like my previous machine did.

I really wanted to love this machine!

An indicator will come on after 90 brewing cycles to let you know it is time to clean your machine.

There is a clean button to use to clean the machine after ninety or so pots, something like that

It doesn't taste any more like plastic than any other plastic made machine on the market (and trust me, I've tried a few!), so don't let a single bad review turn you off to it!With that said, if you're a coffee snob, you're not going to like this machine

So if you are a slow drinker, this is a perfect machine for you.

Get past the plastic and this is a sturdy, good looking and efficient machine.

This machine is less expensive to use by having regular ground coffee instead of the pricey K-cups

and I'm frustrated that I wanted to like it so much - the detachable water tank is awesome - that I gave a machine the benefit of the doubt that after a week it would magically brew real coffee.

This Mr. Coffee is a reasonably good looking coffee machine, combining stainless steel with black and clear plastic

That said, once you get past this inconvenience, this is a great machine

6 uses, the clean light comes on for no reason at all......looked up the instructions and followed directions to actually clean the machine (as that is the only way you can get rid of the clean light.)

The machine is very easy to clean from top to bottom.

Very good machine and keeps the coffee warm for hours without cooking on a burner.

Obviously this is a real problem for me coming from my 8 strong cup machine I had before.

We tried new water filters, clean the machine, and even tried with double layer of coffee filter papers thinking it was the fine coffee grinds.

The machine was never abused

However, for the rest of us caffeine craving mortals that don't want to think about turning the machine off, or worry about the brew continuing to cook after finishing for the next couple hours, this machine does just fine

This is the worst coffee machine I have ever owned.

Second, if I put more than 3 tablespoons of ground coffee in the reusable basket, that I had to order on its own, tons of ground coffee gets blasted everywhere in the basket and water filter, as well as coming through into the coffee.

I have a Keurig coffee maker and as much as I love the convenience, the cost of buying k-cups daily is expensive and the coffee is not always as strong as in a coffee maker

The water reservoir is easy to clean as it comes off in a single unit to carry to the sink for a good, soapy wash.

Does not spread the water over the grains as well as it could, but not badly either.

The carafe fits snug into the housing, and prevents as good as it can to prevent any heat loss for the coffee dripping into it

The lid of the carafe could use some revamping to make it easier to clean as I have concerns about what could grow in it over

Being in a caraffe it does not burn and you can even heat the coffee up in the microwave and its as good as it was when first brewed.
