It does a great job of picking up loud voices, but the softest voices in a small 15' x 15' room are still missing from the recording.

I have often been asked what mic I am using because the sound is so clear, and it does such a good job of only picking up the sound from the 180 degrees in front of the mic.

It does an excellent job of capturing voices, it doesn't require a Windows driver, it's sturdy as heck, and it doesn't need a battery like many of the mics stenographers use.

Thus far, I recommend this mic - its doing a better job with VOIP calls than our $800 Polycom conference room speakerphone
