I bought this pedal wanting classic distortion and find it more useful as an overdrive pedal

but it's definitely more of a classic crunch distortion than a heavy rock sound.

I mean i suppose if you're looking for some modern thrash sound (great for blues-based modern metal) you'll wanna look elsewhere, or if you're looking for a really clean jazz or blues distortion to throw a lil' hoodoo on your sound without a whole lotta power

The distortion range does not get as hot as a RAT or MXR classic distortion but it sounds great with a telecaster and tube amp
