So, you want a compressor right

the only thing I like about the hyper gravity is that even at high compression you still have nice dynamics.... if you are looking for a good compressor under 100 dlls... get this one, for sure... if you can spend up to 130 please do yourself a favor and get the Xotic SP, guarantee you won't regret it

so I wanted to see if this newer compressor was quieter but it was a tone killer.

I would also suggest keeping this somewhat noisy compressor out of the effects loop

The MXR Dyna Comp is a budget Ross style compressor, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great compressor.

a Keeley is a great compressor, but I would choose a dyna over a keeley any day.

I bought into all the hype that it wasn't very good, and that you needed a Wampler, Maxon, or other expensive compressor to really sound good.

I was expecting a clicky, clean sounding compressor when I bought this because I enjoyed my friends

But listen, any compressor will add some noise because is making the lower sounds sound higher so there is a slight increase in noise floor

I've had mine for about 9 years, now, and I have to say that it is still my favorite compressor.
