    MXR M116 Fullbore Metal Distortion

    • The distortion is intense
    • Like the distortion itself had an unpleasant high screech to it
    • I looked at many products for, just the right distortion and this one just topped them all
    • I suppose if it had a 10-band EQ and a 12AX7 preamp circuit, it would be "the best metal pedal", but for a small piece of gear, it's probably the best analog distortion on the market.
    • This is the most versatile distortion pedals you can buy.
    • This is a very good distortion pedal
    • The MXR Fullbore Metal is a high-octane distortion suitable for modern metal music
    • Good distortion pedal
    • Best distortion i ever used
    • I love the onboard Marshall JCM-flavored tube distortion, but it is more in line with the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (obviously), and not entirely suitable for modern American metalcore
    • Like the distortion itself had an unpleasant high screech to it
    • I really like the harmonics and dynamics, the best solid state distortion for the price in my opinion
    • This is a great overall distortion pedal not only for metal, but also for all sorts of genres that require a little bit of fuzz
    • But through a nice, well-balanced tube amp like a Hot Rod or something, this can give you very nice metal distortion
    • I was concerned that it might be over the top distortion, but it really gives you any level of distortion you want and in so many different ways!
