Need for Speed Most Wanted - Playstation 3

    • I found this game rather disappointing, the handling, crash scenes, lack of story and empty environment are all serious issues (which can of course be solved with an inevitable sequel), but the graphics, car mods and police chases are all definite pluses
    • It's more for people who like burnout paradise ( - no barrel rolls, or stunts due to real car companies not wanting full fake crashes
    • , you can't enter the race events cause you have to up and down R stick at the same time-Frustrating gameplay stops when crashing while racing
    • I do not like the crash
    • One wrong turn, or crash once and forget about it, you might as well start over
    • (If I wanted realism, I would have picked GT), triggering annoying lengthy crash animation that can't be turned off
    • The only flaw in this game is sometimes the crashes are too sensitive
    • I don't like the cinematic crashes, hitting cops is nothing like the original NFSMW
    • You can bump someone in traffic going 30 miles an hour and get "treated" to the stupid crash animation
    • When you 'crash' your car, which includes even simply smashing into the back of another car, it 'crashes' you out and resets you wasting about 5 seconds of your time
    • and the crashes are sort of cool if they didnt happen over every little
    • Everything is consequence free: a violent crash results in the immediate delivery of a shiny new model
    • NF:MW is rooted in fast and furious street racing, with traffic, cops, and brutal crashes
    • On top of that there are no upgrades for engines, in summary to customization, the cars stay relatively stock with minimal non visual changes that you can do to the vehicles-Do I really have to pointlessly drive around town and find cars to use them?-Drifting requires no talent once your car breaks grip you can basically hold the control stick in one direction and earn endless drifting points (not literally but its almost to that extent)-The cars handle like go karts with no way to customize the response from the controller (but again keep in mind this is an arcade game as compared to a simulation, but still handling is far from where it should be)-Every little accident I got into above 20 mph resulted in an annoying crash scene which you will just mash buttons saying "ok
    • However, accidents and stunts such as crashing through a road block of lined up SUVs in your 911 Porsche at 137mph and then knocking them clear out the way and escaping in your intact coup was an uneven experience
    • if you played Burnout Paradise you will note that everything is pretty much like Paradise city, also the crashes, the gas station repairs and the takedowns are trademarks borrowed from Burnout franchise
    • The horrible crash scenes
    • Since I wrote this review, I took the game to a friend of mine to see somebody else suffering as I did and after 50 minutes of him playing it and giving it a second chance we reached an accord, this game its awful.
    • I love this one more as i use it with my wheel which makes it awesome
    • Spiritual successor to burnout paradise, but not as great as that was.
    • Outside of the racing events, there are also ones that involve getting away from the cops (wreck your friend=them getting busted and disowning you) as well as who can drift the most, get the most air, break the most billboards, etc

    • I would have been PISSED if I paid the $10 for a online pass and the multiplayer sucked as much as I thought it did
