(Hot Pursuit Version

So like i said once you get the quick handling 1-2 days you will reap the fast RUSH and adrenaline high this game has to offer you, but in all it is so much better than the NFS "Hot Pursuit" and just much different than the NFS"Shift" release

Online is much deeper IMHO vs. Hot Pursuit

It was an amalgamation of all things learned from both the Hot Pursuit series as well as the Underground series

I checked this game out at my local library because I was hesitant to purchase the next iteration of NFS (Most Wanted) after the stellar "Hot Pursuit."

The problem with this is that unlike in some other NFS Hot Pursuit games, you can't use shortcuts to cut down you time if it means bypassing a checkpoint

THIS WAS SO DISAPPOINTING COMPARED TO 'HOT PURSUIT' ON THE PS3 OR PS2 FOR THAT MATTER.

I am a huge fan of Need for Speed: Hot pursuit, so when The Run came out last year I was very excited, and ended up being very disappointed

Still sucks that you can't play as a cop like in Hot Pursuit.

I really liked The Run and Hot Pursuit on the PS3.

Being is a police chase felt more like playing bumper cars with cops flying at you from all directions but without any AI control making it easy to escape even the most elevated pursuit levels.

This game would be thee best Need For Speed game EVER, if only it had the Hot Pursuit action.

Graphics are fantastic and overall handling response from controller to action is perfect unlike hot pursuit where there was a lag in the steering response

The venerable "Need For Speed" series has long been ill-defined: games such as the Road & Track sponsored original, Porsche Unleashed, and Shift have focused on driving simulation, whereas others, such as Hot Pursuit, High Stakes, and Most Wanted have eschewed realistic control for fast-paced cop-evading action

It's the reason I bought Hot Pursuit a few years ago

In Hot Pursuit however there is no customization, but I would rather have a fun game in real cars, than a game that gets old where I can customize cars

Being an open world game, Most Wanted doesn't have car selection screens like Hot Pursuit: Instead, you have to hunt down new cars by exploring the city, which always makes for fun surprises

I like the reboot of hot pursuit, but this one is harder to start off and the cop chases are harder to hide/run away from

We dont see that competitiveness that was so fierce on Hot Pursuit online, because online feels repetitive and like a chore.

Overall, fun game, drives well, if a bit more difficult to control than Hot Pursuit, and something I feel will give me a good amount of enjoyment

This could have been a great one, but Criterion's head is still swollen from the Hot Pursuit success

Nfs seemed to have picked up on hot pursuit

The predecessor to this game, 2010's Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, started to push this boundary, integrating its store into the car selection screens, where unlockable cars were shown next to DLC cars, but at least the difference was made clear

If you are new to NFS, or don't have Hot Pursuit, than I say get Hot Pursuit, it is a lot better.

If you liked Hot Pursuit, you will most likely like this game.

Two years ago, many of you know that Criterion did Need For Speed Hot Pursuit

I've won many Hot Pursuit online races because of the precision of mere inches between cars in a drift while fighting my way through traffic to the finish line

Personally I prefer the original PS2 Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted to this game

I would definitely buy Hot Pursuit and turn down Most Wanted

The original Hot pursuit and Most Wanted were some of my favorites

One of my biggest complaints about Hot Pursuit was the terrible rubber-banding

I loved the first nfs most wanted, a great story and most important, fun cop chases and awesome pursuit breakers

To get to the point here, Criterion has basically taken their successful game of Burnout Paradise and due to their previous success of Hot Pursuit have hoodwinked EA games

It has a more arcade feel much like the newest Hot Pursuit (also made by Criterion, also an EXCELLENT game), but the driving physics are a bit more realistic yet more fun at the same time, so that's a huge plus

It is just straight racing and nos, none of those gadgets from hot pursuit

Bottom Line: If you've been a fan of Need for Speed, and have been playing the games for a while now (at least since the original Hot Pursuit 2), this game is definately a must get

Criterion is back with this installation of the Need for Speed series and they have done pretty well at combining the open world type of game that Burnout Paradise was with the police force from the last Hot Pursuit game

In Hot Pursuit, you also get "weapons" which is the whole reason it's one of the best NFS ever

So far, having played Hot Pursuit for many hours, my impression of Most Wanted are as follows:+ Graphics and level of detail is definitely more polished compared to HP

Not QUITE as good as Hot Pursuit (2010) or GT5 and Forza

However, not quite as good as Criterion's take on Hot Pursuit.

Great game... definitely an arcade racer, but I loved NFS Hot Pursuit and the Burnout games.

Then Criterion Games produced Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

Also if you are playing multiplayer and you are stuck with some idiot who never stops yapping, you can't mute him like you could in Hot Pursuit.

When I played Criterion's Hot Pursuit, I could map the controls to my liking

Its got reflections of Hot Pursuit in small amounts, Burnout(the moments you go around corners and crash), and the beauty of Detailed NFS games

In Hot Pursuit, you can't turn without drifting, the shift series had no story, and the run was just crazy: starting at 100th place and you have to get to first

If you want Most Wanted, or already have Hot Pursuit, than definitely get it

After all the best part of Need for Speed:Hot Pursuit was the most wanted DLC they added after the fact

The game has a similar premise, but they have removed the storyline, customization, manual transmission, exciting pursuits, and the ability to plow through roadblocks
