The slide brace comes with variously sized pads to create a custom fit against the slide, protecting the slide from damage and preventing the grip from moving during use.

I have absolutly no regrets about the purchase and am pretty confident that on a single trigger trombone it would serve me quite well, but I want to make sure I am able to hold the slide closed with no comprimise as well.
