The only thing I'd like Nest to do differently is to offer a longer power cord.
-
love nest
-
Compared to the Ring and Wyze Cameras (only $29 and $39) the Nest is Trash.
-
I bought this camera to compliment my network security cameras and liked that it used the same app as my Nest thermostat (which I love), but after numerous attempts to get it to connect to my wifi and two hours of Nest Tech support, the issue remained unresolved and I requested a return and refund.
-
From here, Nest basically ignored the issue, and a quick search reveals this is NOT an uncommon problem.
-
I contacted Nest to complain about this and ask to return the cameras for a refund because I am very dissatisfied with them.
-
Nest severely limits the usefulness of its cameras to gouge you
-
If Nest could improve I would say get rid of the cord... kind of limits where you can put it and so much extra work
-
I have used Ring camera too, which is excellent as a doorbell replacement but Ring doesn't have security software as good as Nest
-
But perhaps the most unwelcome surprise was that after the free Nest Aware subscription expired, I get this annoying advertisement along the bottom of my computer.
-
Nest's biggest advantage there is that it calls home and tunnels through the facility firewall/router without requiring anything of the network admin
-
Need nest aware subscription, but not available in
-
It's even more comical that they keep offering me "complimentary 2 months nest aware service" but yet can't get the service to actually work on the cameras.
-
Nest support cannot get nest aware to work on my cameras.
-
I don't like opening ports on my router, and I fully trust Nest with their cloud service
-
Nest is the best
-
Have to pay for a subscription to store video data with a 'Nest Aware Subscription' A bit pricey for a solitary unit
-
I have had cameras now for over one month and am not able to successfully get Nest aware to work
-
I have purchased 4 so far and will probably add a few more despite the price of Nest Aware and limitation to wifi.
-
Nest has no lag.
-
I guess I should just cough up my $20 a month for my subscription every month and keep quiet, right NEST?
-
Great camera, easy to install, cleverly designed and integrates perfectly with other Nest products you have in your home using the cool Nest app
-
These cameras are always losing connection.2: Nest charges $100 per year for subscription
-
Couldn’t be happier with this product as well as the Nest app.
-
The nest was easy to set up and install
-
Nest should improve/enhance their software to justify their subscription charges.
-
$ per year, for 10 days recording!?This is absolutely unacceptable!Totally wrong strategy NEST...
-
Nest provides no customer support
-
Nest will rip you off by charging for recording but those cameras are hot 100% of the time inlike Ring and have audio unlike Swan
-
I prefer Nest over all them
-
I own two of these, their new doorbell camera, two nest thermostats and 3 nest protects
-
another well engineered nest product.
-
It's worthless unless you buy the expensive Nest aware on top of the expensive cameras.
-
I’ve had nest support ticket open since 2 weeks after I had them installed
-
The nest can is very easy to set up
-
Already have the nest thermostat, nest protect wired and nest indoor cam
-
Nest has pretty good hardware and nice app as well
-
I would not and will not recommend Nest to anyone
-
This just feels like Nest wanted to utilize the Cell phone marketing strategy, of sell you something that is super powerful, but unless you pay them for a subscription, your very useful thing becomes unusable.
-
Nest is the best...for the money
-
Expensive Nest Aware subscription required or camera is simply another camera
-
Nest Cam Outdoor is made useless by the fact that that there are WAY too many false alerts--and this is while using the crazy-expensive Nest Aware subscription which is supposed to use "advanced cloud algorithms ... to give your camera smarter alerts"
-
Another great Nest product for my house
-
I also love nest aware
-
Lame Nest, really LameIt's a shame - the video quality is excellent, the motion detection is excellent, the night vision is near worthless - maybe effective for 10' distance
-
Furthermore, Nest recommends that you mount the camera at least 7 feet off of the ground, and, preferably, under an eave (which is
-
We have an airbnb house we rent and have several smart home and nest gadgets to allow us to operate it from anywhere
-
Make it easier, Nest.
-
Unless Nest addresses their cloud performance issues, I am hoping to save some of you some money and time
-
App syncs with cameras very quick, the image quality is very good, the night vision mode was not ON but even without the night vision I could see everything around my house (good job Nest)I would recommend Nest camera to everyone if not the thick power wires behind the camera.
-
People complain on the price but if you want a quality lens, quality features and apps that work, Nest still is the best.
-
I finally put it back in the box and returned to store and researched on the wed and bought the NEST from Amazon and love it
-
The Arlo free service sends usable video clips , I will never trust nest or possibly google again .
-
I really like the feature of having Nest turn off the camera when my phone gets inside the geofence I made around my house so it doesn't record me walking around
-
I absolutely LOVE my Nest and recently bought another one for the back of our house.
-
Other security cams may be lower costs, but Nest is the Best
-
But the greedy Nest insists I pay the full $100 10 day price for the subscription service for the additional cameras in the new house.
-
Thank you Nest!
-
Nest Aware too expensive for me.
-
Ring company charges approximately $30/year.3: if you lose WiFi, Nest suggests that you scan the back of the camera with a QR reader on your phone
-
Also have the Nest smart therostat on same app love it also.
-
If Nest could improve I would say get rid of the cord... kind of limits where you can put it and so much extra work
-
Nest looks like a professional surveillance camera.
-
love nest.
-
This tells me that Nest is massively incompetent at managing its communications and records in addition to its so-called "customer support
-
performance is excellent - Nest does an outstanding job, very reminiscent of Apple products as far a well thought through instructions, design and packaging.
-
When they never called me back I requested a free nest protect due to my original being defective and their inaction to listen to the phone call I requested
-
Thumbs up please if you'd like Nest to resolve these issues.
-
I love my nest, everything works as advertised and the installation was easy!
-
thank you NEST !!
-
and Nest was the best I could find
-
It was all great during the free Nest Aware trial
-
I had another camera in its spot but the Nest is struggling with wifi coverage and video quality
-
Nest will undoubtedly fix these issues or not sell a lot of these cameras and when they do they should offer a decent trade in for these clunkers.
-
As a result even if the person at the door can hear & understand you through the terrible Nest cam speakers (50/50 chance at best), their response will be cut off because they are talking while the system is still in the process of switching back to listening mode.
-
Nest also works with Alexa much better than Ring
-
Bravo Nest!
-
Nice try Nest, but I am leaving the nest until you make products that function well, and a service that is consumer friendly.
-
I really admire this company Nest, for going off in a New Direction and being Innovative and creating a quality product
-
Nest works great and wonderful customer service.
-
Nest, please make that work
-
I definitely recommend NEST over ARLO.
-
Dont waste your money, nest biulds poor products
-
Nest has a problem and they need to fix it
-
That's not Nest's fault, so I did not let that effect my rating
-
Shame on you nest.
-
Nest is worth the money though.
-
Looks like I will be calling Nest on this one after running through all the troubleshooting and hoop jumping.
-
I have a Canary camera I use indoors as well as a Nest indoor
-
Nest really made it super easy and unbelievable pleasant to know only what I want to know
-
I bought the cameras because I got a free Nest thermostat when I replaced my A/C.
-
The nest is easier to install, better quality pic, better night vision, better options, and gives you a snapshot of what triggered the intrusion.
-
Bravo, Nest!
-
If you are or have been considering a security system, I highly recommend Nest
