Subscription is just too pricey
-
IF the offline issue had not been present, I would've been much happier with it, even with the ridiculous subscription fee.
-
Everybody reviewing this camera should give them one star so that they would have a cheaper subscription plan available and not gouge its customers.
-
I don't know why all the hate - sure, it requires a subscription, but it's worth it
-
Until the free subscription runs out

-
Arlo not only hasn't missed one event, but notifications are immediate (Nest takes 10-30 seconds to send a phone notification)- Arlo records video for free -- no subscription
-
There might be better options now without a monthly subscription as well
-
Like a lot of reviewers, I love the camera but the subscription is a complete rip off from my perspective
-
Subscription is cost prohibitive
-
Unfortunately, I already paid my annual membership in advance, so I'm out 2 cameras and a shoddy subscription service.
-
I really like the Nest Outdoor camera's, but decided to go with another because of the horrible, expensive subscription plan
-
Subscription is very Expensive for more then 1 Camera

The Nest Aware subscription is worth the peace of mind.
-
Nest Aware is required to make sense of this, and that subscription is expensive
-
If I would have known this, I would have bought a camera system that includes a hard drive- no subscription and would have paid for itself in 5 years compared to a nest aware subscription.
-
It may be because I am ignorant and didn't know this has a 100% required to be useful subscription service.
-
Subscription is a little expensive
-
Note: There is 30 day free subscription to test of nest,
-
If you have multiple cameras the nest aware subscription gets a little pricey, but as a service it is also worth every penny.
-
That coupled with the outrageously overpriced subscription service, makes me regret that I bought these cameras.
-
I don't love the fee/subscription for Nest
-
If you have the premium subscription (free for one month after initial set up), you can customize some settings of the Day Brief (if you only want to include "person" alerts)
-
Nest Aware subscription highly recommended as well.
-
Expensive Nest Aware subscription required or camera is simply another camera
-
:(The subscriptions for 4 cameras are not cheap with Nest
-
Completely useless without the expensive subscription to view your own content
-
Wish the nest aware subscription is cheaper

Everybody reviewing this camera should give them one star so that they would have a cheaper subscription plan available and not gouge its customers.
-
Without me asking for it, they reimbursed me for a time when I lost the subscription to Nest Aware, and added on 2 months for free.
-
Nest Cam Outdoor is made useless by the fact that that there are WAY too many false alerts--and this is while using the crazy-expensive Nest Aware subscription which is supposed to use "advanced cloud algorithms ... to give your camera smarter alerts"
-
Although they are pricey and the subscriptions are more expensive than Amcrest
-
I bought $200 per camera and paid expensive subscription

Nest Aware - You have to pay a subscription fee which is overpriced for cloud storage IMHO
-
Cons:The subscription cost too much without a lot of options
-
All the fancy features do not work without said subscription AND you only get to look back for 3 hours of recordings.
-
The camera works well everything I expected but residential subscriptions a bit pricey in my opinion
-
Annoyingly, the camera often fails to alert for human or dog activity altogether (even though wind, bugs, rain and the like often trigger an alert). For a reasonably expensive subscription service (the camera is crippled without the subscription) I would expect this camera to be better
-
Would like the subscription to be a less expensive.
-
the only change was that I purchased the pricey subscriptions
-
Fantastic product, wish the monthly subscription was just a little cheaper.
-
After my free subscription ended, I was getting a lot of notification that my camera is offline, several times a day (and night)
-
I think the subscription is worth it and honestly it's not that bad.
-
