They just needed my account number and the MAC address of the new modem

Just make sure to have your account number, login id and password.

make sure you record your cable account number, phone number (associated with the account), username and password prior to disconnecting the old modem.

I had to call customer service (very important for you to remember your account number otherwise they wont entertain you)

Even though the directions suggest you should have your Comcast account number, the MAC of the router, serial number and MTA

All you need is your Xfinity information - account number and login and the information off the bottom of the unit, Serial number, MAC Address the model number and your phone number

I am pleased with the quality of the Netgear products as well as with the excellent customer service provided by the Netgear technicians.

This should work as it says on it Xfinity and it is also under Xfinity approved list, so why you guys have no solution?????

They depend on great wifi for work and no excuses: must work and consistently, so this is a huge improvement for speed and signal strength throughout their (long) place as well as into their yard!Older buildings and rentals are a mess for signal strength; this was a solid improvement, although it took two days of their setting up, way out of the ease for older people like us, but for a younger wire-head, son-in-law was ecstatic.

Install was the quickest I've had except had to be transferred to get phone line to work as it was still registered to the old modem.

I politely declined as that was far too expensive and beyond the my needs, plus if everything outside of the modem tests fine, the reasonable deduction is that it is the modem that is faulty.

I recommend this to everyone who want to avoid cord mess as it is composite of Modem & Router

Everything is working great and my picture is just as clear as when I had cable.

Great product, definitely works as I had planned, even has greater speeds than the rental I had.

Finally I told the tech to just install a modem off his truck and viola everything worked as it should.
