I wanted to upgrade due to the new routers having USB3.0 connections for network storage and of course wifi6 was supposed to be 3 to 4 times faster and wider coverage

Since getting this router (along with the DOCSIS 3.1 modem) I’ve had great coverage over the entire house

after a quick and easy install using the Nighthawk app, I’m now seeing far greater speeds and coverage on my FIOS 1gb connection

Our internet is still working b/c we are able to still use our Comcast that comes in without any problem

While the 5 G was just fine, I have an older Sonos connect and a few Rokus and the vacuum cleaners only work off the 2.4G.

the RAX80 was very easy to install and provides us with excellent steaming speeds and 5G for our phones

Especially 5G is very problematic

Almost every day, 5G network randomly drops connections, randomly disappears for anywhere from 1 to 24 hours, randomly slows down to a few megabits per second (480 Mbps out of the back of the router at all times same as out of my cable modem, and 150-180 Mbps normally on my workstation when 5G is working, so clearly a wifi firmware problem).

I had to turn smart connect back on, no longer able to print due to the router constantly putting my printer on the unsupported 5g channel
