    NETGEAR Nighthawk 4-Stream AX4 Wifi 6 Router (RAX40) – AX3000 Wireless Speed (Up to 3 Gbps) | 1,500 sq. ft. Coverage

    • Every time a firmware is pushed out, the rouer messes up causing me to do a factory reset
    • Also, uses a Broadcom chip and do not expect open router community support (dd-wrt or open wrt) any time soon.
    • I read online that many others experience the same problem - some having to restart multiple times a day as well.
    • Second issue was that it kept losing internet connection randomly, several times a day
    • But I lose my internet 2 or 3 times a day (and today, when I'm writing this, it failed 4 times), requiring a reboot each time, and making the unit totally unreliable.
    • Afterwards, while watching a movie, the video froze multiple times and I would get the spinning wheel
    • Hangs all the time
    • and it's miserable each time
    • Wifi speeds were slow, but I thought it was due to ISP - recently had some free time to investigate, and it turns out the Wired connection is giving me close to ISP advertised (
    • Had a hard time getting it set up
    • Honestly I’m very fed up with them this time around that they’ve ruined a 14 year customer relation
    • I bought this router in desperate times (work and school from home)
    • Why waste more time writing a thorough review of the nightmare experience I had with this item
    • but the thing loses wireless connection every time it goes to sleep for some reason and you have to manually reboot the printer each time.
    • Good time to buy a new router
    • The firmware update failed multiple times and the setup experience was frustrating as the app
    • Wi-Fi fails multiple times a day for hours at a time
    • Were supposed to be twice as fast download time as my other unit
    • They couldn't even get the time server sync correctly to show the correct time
    • wifi speed, then connect to back of router and test speed, wasting my time.
    • I was losing my connection all the time even with extenders.
