You can customize your own personal gaming network so that it works for you & nobody else!Besides Geo-Filtering, the 2 most important features are Anti-Bufferbloat & QoS. Personally, I set my QoS sliders just below 75% & check the ALWAYS box on Anti-Bufferbloat

A had a Motorola sb6580, I used to have 4k streaming issues, my connection used to drop very often, and when I needed technical support from motorola they were not willing to help me without charging me(yes, 10 dollars to fix a problem with THEIR OWN firmware), so I was so fed up with the terrible quality from motorola I deviced to go with Netgear XR500, and its worth every single penny, Netgear offered me great support to set everything up, I no longer have connection issues, the connection range and stability from this router are freaking insane, I no longer have chronic lag issues when I play online games on my xbox, and this router offers plenty of of nice features such as the nice user friendly dashboard that makes it very simple and intuitive to set up, router looks very cool and after 3

The QoS features like Anti Bufferbloat and Trafic Prioritization are outstanding, combined with the other features DumaOS has to offer, such as the geo-filter it makes for a more pleasurable gaming experience

The minute I booted the router, it wanted to perform a firmware update, and I figure "why not?" What I learned, after spending a few hours trying to determine why some of the features specified in the user manual weren't readily available, it that it appears Netgear would rather remove buggy features rather than address them with a fix.

Covers it completely, excellent wifi performance for all of my devices, and best of all great administrative feature set

We haven't worked the home network feature yet and just gave our PS4 priority, but plan on looking into that when we have time

Has reduced my lag and ping do to the Great features in the geo filter and bandwidth allocation

Plus all the features on the XR500 actually works unlike the my old Nighthawk

Being able to use Advanced features such as geofilter and bufferbloat really make this router a step ahead of all the others for gaming

All these features are amazing, but the best part is the user experience of navigating this software

The red theme takes a bit of getting used to if you are a Netgear person but the new features are great.

so I'll be returning this and going back to my old one which in my opinion works just as well as
