So far, seeing faster speeds on all our wireless devices, sometimes 2 or 3 times faster

But then the device failed after 5 months

We had some issues in our house when walking from room to room, with the wifi dropping, utilizing both bands and naming them all the same SSID with same password our smart devices auto-choose the best connection/

After I upgraded to this and split the devices between the three bands things are much better

Awesome device does everything you could need and then some.

I don't know if this was just one of those random things or if this device was unreliable, but in any case, customer service has been a nightmare to deal with

no lag whatsoever UPDATE: now over 40 devices

So I basically tried a faulty device at my own expense.

However, if you've got a bunch of mobile devices (tablets, cell phones, etc.), watch a lot of Amazon Prime Video or other streaming video, download games for PC, Playstation, or Xbox, have WiFi capable devices around your home such as smart light bulbs, Amazon Echo, or a smart thermostat, then you would be well-served to grab the Nighthawk X6 or its big brother, the X8.What it comes down to is how much bandwidth you need, and how much speed you have available in the first place
