The Netgear R7900 is one of the top two or three routers I've used, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end router at a fair price.

In sum, because of the great performance and price, I can highly recommend this router.

In many ways, it's probably more than most users need, but if you're the type that has lots of devices and a very fast Internet connection, the R7900 is a great way to get the most out of your network at a fairly reasonable price

No improvement in range vs. a cheap Cisco WiFi router that is 10 years older, 1/3 the price and 1/3 the size

I bought it for a decent price but should still last for much more than 6 months.

Strong signal throughout my house, fast speeds and so far, very reliable.

Upgraded from a router that was several years old which had a weak signal on the second floor of my apartment.

router works very good throughout even having a brick house you get a good signal

The router is pretty much in the middle of the house, so I expected it to have a strong signal everywhere.

My old router was no longer giving good signal all through the house and I would get lag spikes all the time

Has great range, the 5ghz network reaches all the way out to my garage which my previous asus router did not.

hence I got this and let me tell you what the range on this router is worse than my Xfinity Comcast router

if range is not a issue then you would probably love

This has excellent range for 4k streaming to all my devices

Range and signal strength seem to be excellent - as good as or better than any other router I've tried

Initial setup was tricky for me

I successfully performed a manual setup with no problem after the automatic setup wizard failed again

Only good thing was setup -- good instructions and easy to do.

The smart phone app is easy to use and very handy to monitor and control the traffic and devices

The app to see the network configuration was an added bonus!

We love the Genie app as well, very easy to see what is going on and control everything.

The router and Circle app work really well and have helped my family so much!

That was so much easier than my Linksys Velop which took hours to set up because the app was so finicky.

Purchased the Netgear router to enhance our WiFi signal and strength

However, I never lose signal strength around a 2,000sqft split level home

Speed is slow connect strength is low

Consistent signal strength and quality with no fall off or disruption

I've only had it installed for a week at this point, but the signal strength and range are amazing

Easy to use, secure, great range, reliable, perfect cust service, basically flawless.

The router improved our download speeds from 14 MBPS to about 29 MBPS

After a few day use the speed slow down at from 30-45 Mbps ( download speed) and upload speed at 18-23 Mbps, and with 3 times chat support

Router was extremely easy to setup and has made all of our devices connect at the best speeds possible

This router improved speeds from 4 to 60mb/s. Be sure to upgrade all old cat5 cables with cat6 cables and you will be amazed with how much speed you were missing out on.

Huge upgrade from my old N300 router my wireless speeds have improved tremendously

Of course, most people don't use WiFi routers to go back and forth between computers on your own network...more likely you're going out to the Internet, and here you're most likely limited by the bandwidth of your Internet service more than any limitation on the R7900.The other part of this test involves adding more and more computers and seeing where performance starts to decline, and in this test, the R7900 really excels

In conclusion, there are a lot of things to like about the R7900, from it's easy setup to it's great performance and extensibility

I am using this router in place of my older trendnet ac1900 and loving the performance

The set up was fine and the performance was fine for about 11 months.

I have had good netgear products (other routers, Arlo, etc)...but this is either defective or a bad product?

They want you to pay to to troubleshoot their shoddy product.

The R7900 router is an excellent product which performs as advertised with very good additional functionality.

So to end this on a sweet note, YES I definitely recommend this product for anyone looking to buy a great fast router

It's a little like a funky looking insect on the wall (if mounted) and you can't cover it or put it in a closet because that'll restrict coverage.

Got this in hopes of getting better coverage in my house

The router provides excellent wifi coverage to a very large home with 3 floors

I had spotty coverage prior that I tried to solve with repeaters and other tricks to no avail.

One of the reasons I replaced my old router was relatively poor 5GHz coverage, and I was not disappointed with he R7900, which has great wi-fi coverage throughout my home

I have over 20 smart devices running through it and and they all work remarkable well

So I basically tried a faulty device at my own expense.

Strong router able to support all my smart home devices

With the Nighthawk X6 R7900, you can connect your smart devices to one of the bands and your streaming devices to another so that you do not lose throughput

After I upgraded to this and split the devices between the three bands things are much better

After purchasing the Nighthawk x6 AC3000 all my dead spots were gone.

Fast, easy to set up and has an excellent range with no dead spots in our home and outside living areas.
