NETGEAR WiFi AC1200 Range Extender (EX6200)

    • Easy setup - The interface is straight-forward enough.
    • This is a nice looking product but the setup was ENTIRELY too complex, it creates two distinct WiFi connections (with security keys and SSIDs that are different from the wireless router's), and it dropped WiFi connections to devices (that were 5-10 feet away from it) constantly
    • The setup was easy and the result excellent.
    • Works great, and setup was easy.
    • Thats it folks, everything else has worked better than any extender I have owned (the Linksys that required a voodoo spell to operate, the Hawking that required a power off/on at random times, the Amped that might work fine on alternate phases of the moon, etc).I can say that if you pair this extender with the following router, NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router (R7000) ,you will have the fastest and most powerful setup you have ever owned in overall coverage and throughput
    • The setup wizard (when it fails to connect with MAC filtering enabled on the router) will show you the THREE MAC addresses you need to add.
    • Though setup was easy enough, I think the device could only be appreciated fully by someone with a need to link up an entire home theater/ entertainment system or someone wanting only the best in range and throughput
    • Easy setup, using with combined wireless and wired network in multilevel home.
    • Got it working with out any problems - the setup seemed easy enough
    • Great range extender; quick setup; after a month or two of using it we have had no issues
    • After that it was a super easy setup.
    • Easy setup
    • Easy install and the greatest thing about this is that once setup it can be plugged in anywhere in your home to boost the signal!
    • The setup was easy and it found the router without an issue, following the directions
    • Setup wasn't as easy as I expected
    • Setup is easy
    • Easy setup and worth every penny.
    • Still the best router/extender combo ever, there have been some technology improvements since I wrote the original review but 90+% of people will never need or use the features they will pay huge $$$$ for so if you got this far in my review, save a few bucks and buy this combo and you will have everything you need for the best setup you can get short of using 2 routers hardwired together which will cost you more money and maybe your wife won't kill you for putting holes in her walls (if you think it is NOT her
    • Setup was pretty easy although I did have issues with WAP and my TP-Link router (it could have been the router and not the extender).
    • Good setup instructions, works well from mid to near maximum range, through multiple interior and exterior walls
    • Easy setup, very good range, very nice router
    • Long range, stable and easy setup.
    • you will feel almost like a wired connection (well that is an exaggeration) but it will most likely blow your old setup out of the water
    • After trying ASUS EA-N66 and having a major hassle I gave up and ordered this AC1200 and it works instantly getting all 5 bars 200 + feet from the extender fast and hassle free setup, don't bother with the cheaper ones you'll be sorry!
    • Setup was a breeze
    • Easy setup.

    • Easy setup, has better reception than the router it connects to!
    • I work in the technology industry, and am reasonably proficient at setting up routers, networks, etc., so the setup should have been easy
    • Yes, the setup was easy, but four weeks in, my wifi connection is slower than before
    • Setup was a breeze too.
    • has no problem picking up signal and gives good coverage through my home which is a house trailer...setup was a breeze, the extender keeps my TV, ps3, tablet, media streaming player, 2 smart phones, my son's tablet and any visitor's phones connected to the internet while here
    • Easy setup to
    • The UI is OK, but one thing that bugs me is that I can configure my extended WiFi network settings (ssid, password, etc), storage, etc in the UI maintenance screens, but I'm required to go through the "Smart Setup" wizard to configure or change any settings for the connection to the router, which seems pretty dumb, but it's not worth losing a star over
    • Setup is super easy (setup with all these devices I’ve found fairly simple)
    • Pros:-Works good so far-Nice range on signal-Easy setup
    • Easy, quick setup, now have strong wifi, even in the rv the kids use
    • Has a great setup wizard
    • The "WPS buttons" setup buttons did not work at all; I used manual setup.
    • Initial setup was a breeze and took only a few minutes to have the device online and extending my existing network
    • Very easy setup.
    • I have tried it with the fast WPS setup (i.e. the default settings), and then with the Fastlane technology (i.e. receiving from the router on 5ghz and broadcasting on 2.4ghz).
    • The setup is working flawlessly but someone had mentioned to me that I should tell people what I am running on my network so this is it:2 PCs running Windows 101 laptop running Windows
    • Easy setup
    • Very easy setup
    • Setup was easy and fast
    • The setup was a little flaky - sometimes the admin page didn't refresh right away when an item was clicked, etc
    • I simply set the netgear AC1200 in the corner of the house where i could get a very weak signal before and went through the very easy setup process and suddenly i had four times the throughput as i did before and of course 5 bars of signal throughout my entire cabin.
    • Kinda Big, Antennas on side instead of top when in upright mode, UI required for FastLane configuration, Smart Setup required to configure router connection in UI, Wish the USB port was on the back with everything else instead of the front.
    • Easy setup, (5) 1GB wired Ethernet ports, USB 2.0 shared storage, 2.4/5GHz channels, affordable, Can be used as a WiFi extender/bridge or just a wireless bridge
    • Woirks, setup was easy (in my case because WPS was available), WiFi range is better.
    • The setup was very easy but did require me to hard wire it into my modem for set up so make sure you have access to a computer with Ethernet, your modem, and your main router.
    • Great product with the right setup!
    • then setup is super easy
    • Extremely easy setup, great features, and easy to add an outside external antenna (I bought a Hawkings) and I have turned a choppy, unreliable signal into strong and dependable
    • Setup was a breeze, plug into power near the AP
    • great range, easy setup, good price...
    • Awesome extender, great range and speed, easy setup.
    • Easy setup, less than 5 minutes and connecting devices is no problem.
    • One assumes it is a good idea to upgrade to take advantage of needed security updates, but do only enough setup to establish internet connectivity and then perform a manual firmware update check before proceeding - otherwise you will likely loose everything.
    • Very easy setup
    • Great product, strong signal extender at 2G/5G. Setup was easy
    • throughput speeds inconsistent when testing 2.4 and 5 Ghz channels- slightly tricky setup as I had to play with each setting till I got full speedI'm giving this a 5 out of 5 because...it just works.
    • Its setup was easy, but from the start, I noticed that access to the Internet via the extender was noticibly slower at best, and glacially slow in general.
    • This had to be the easiest setup of any device I've ever connected
    • Rock solid, easy setup!
    • Relatively easy setup.
    • Setup is as easy as anything I have done
    • Setup is a breeze, just put it within range of your existing router and then move it wherever you need
    • The first setup I tried was to just use it as a wireless extender and it worked ok.
    • Easy setup and clear instructions
    • 4.5 stars so far, setup was easy.
    • Easy setup works great!
