NETGEAR WiFi AC1200 Range Extender (EX6200)

    • I had a difficult time getting this extender to connect with my modem
    • That would not be a big deal but it did make me waste about 45 minutes trying to figure out why it would not work since it never tells you why it will not work, just times out and looks back at you
    • it Loses its connection multiple times a day
    • Every time we tried to Skype the reception and transmission were unacceptable.
    • Barely works half the time.
    • No Page Found" errors multiple times.
    • No lags or long time for uploads & downloads
    • I have a hard time making it through a movie on my Apple TV without it disconnecting from the router.
    • Even if you choose AES in the settings, the product still uses TKIP encryption (as reported by Win10, Linux, and Nintendo 3DS which refuses to connect to TKIP devices).I tried to explain this to Netgear support and they wasted my time.
    • I wouldn't waste your time on this one.
    • Contacted tech support (multiple times) and yes there was a slight language barrier
    • I'm kind of having a hard time writing this review because I don't want to be really
    • After several hours it forgot the initial setup and kept asking me to sign in, I proceeded about seven times and then lost my patience, as I had been without internet for several hours
    • Dont waste your time on this extender
    • My advice is don't waste your time with this method
    • I have called back three additional times, each time waiting on hold for way too long, only to be hung up on once I was connected.- Piss poor product, piss poor customer service.
    • The unit jams you into the auto-config menu automatically every time, with no button to get to the main configuration page
    • Also from time to time Netgear offers firmware enhancements and it is just point and click, 'firmware update', and wait for the finished download
    • Do not waste your time or your money.
    • It died in the middle of the configuration process a few times, and in addition, I received "
    • Now if Comcast would stay on line I could enjoy wifi all the time.
    • But once set up, it had a very hard time maintaining an adequate connection
    • Not unreasonable as my support cost will have essentially paid for a new replacement (less my time and their time chasing the issue)
    • This process was going to be lengthy, time consuming, and expensive... but worst of all I was going to have to drill holes and run cables at my neighbors house and probably annoy him somewhat in the process.
    • Before you can contact support, you have to waste time registering on their site and registering your device.
    • Also, I haven't taken the time to contact the Netgear support team so my problems could still lie in the realm of me shooting myself in the foot
    • Not as strong as I though it would be
    • well i
