The remote became extremely hot and smelled like burned plastic.
However it’s much larger than the real one, it’s made completely out of extremely inexpensive plastic (first time it hits the floor from a two foot high table you’ll hear parts dangling inside it), & commanding over $15 for something that cost (my guess) $2 to produce is ridiculous

I haven't had any issues; I popped the batteries in and it worked immediately

The plastic piece next to the battery looks bent but is deformed from the heat caused by a bad battery connection.
