It was kind of like that with the ps3 remote but not as bad

It's cool but not as good as the ps3 remote and the original Sony tv remote that can control my ps as well

While slimmer and less bulky than the PS3 remote it lacks key functionality - namely shoulder buttons on the dual-shock, which of course are key buttons for operating Vue.

LIKE:-the design is a little too long for me to use one handed-the a/v receiver input switch is odd for me, instead of cycling inputs using the input button, i have to use the number keys to select an input, but its not a big deal.-there is no way to turn all of the devices on/off with one button, but there is a separate tv on/off button,

I even used the "soft" programmable keys on the remote, there are 4 of them, and they worked like a charm.

I'd choose replacing batteries more often over the annoyance of always hitting the wrong keys.

And there are about 7 or 8 programmable keys in all including ALL of the colored keys (that includes the 3 colored buttons at the very top of the remote NOT just the 4 middle colored soft keys that some people are saying)

The "return" and "exit" buttons are essentially useless for PS4 - you need to keep using the playstation circle button to exit or go back which is very unnatural on a remote control especially for other non-PS people who might be using your remote

Battery life is poor and even after programming all your SONY components; you will constantly have to select which component you want to control.

There was a time before the internet when programming a universal remote was almost impossible if you were not provided with the codes, back then you had to use your brain and work out the codes for your devices but that is no longer the case

Seems a bit silly to sell a PlayStation remote that stops talking to your PlayStation after a week.

A bit awkward with the having to turn it on every so often

It is long and thin - 9 inches long by 1.75 inches wide, so it's a bit awkward to hold and handle, and for some reason there are no buttons for the R1/R2/L1/L2 buttons

It's just a bit tedious to spam the buttons and lose connection or go above the desired volume and try to lower it.-Mute with Volume Punch-through works the same way that the Volume Punch-through works, but not all the time

As suggested by the PS4 remote's instructions, I did have to program the "Volume Punch Through" on the PS4 remote so that it always controls the TV's volume no matter what device is selected
