PDP Universal Media Remote Control for PS4, TV, Cable Box & Audio Receiver

    • The buttons feel good, but the button layout is weird.
    • Also, a "return" or "back" button would have been ideal instead of the RED button.
    • The bad:The directional buttons are annoyingly loud.
    • The main drawback is the programmable buttons
    • but there is no code for my TV that will work to get this button to work
    • only con is the buttons aren't backlit and you have to press the button for which device you want to control Everytime you go from one to the other like cable for channel then tv for volume.
    • It has some useful buttons you don't find on other remotes, but as a PS VUE remote it is also confusing and counterintuitive.
    • a multifunction power button-automatic setup with my TV and a/v receiver didn't work, so i had to manually input it
    • The "return" and "exit" buttons are essentially useless for PS4 - you need to keep using the playstation circle button to exit or go back which is very unnatural on a remote control especially for other non-PS people who might be using your remote
    • Mainly I would have liked if it had illuminated buttons like most of my remotes have.
    • Once the muscle memory kicks in and you get used to it the smaller buttons arent an issue at all
    • For my Samsung TV, I lost the ability to use the Smart TV button to access any built-in apps like Hulu, NetFlix, Amazon VIdeo, etc
    • The PS4 remote has arranged all the most useful buttons together into 3 tiny rows of buttons (the buttons grouped under "MENUS", under the number pad)
    • Many of the PS4 apps require buttons this controller doesn't have; with a little experimentation, you can figure out which buttons are used to replace the missing PS4 controller buttons
    • And yes the Bluetooth part of the remote shuts off to save power, all you have to do is push the big smooth PS4 button to wake it up again.
    • Its buttons are soft and lack any tactile
    • This remote took some getting used to, as the buttons are not intuitive for PS Vue, but after learning them, it worked ok.
    • No illuminated button, terrible use of TV controls, Layout and PS4 controller functions missing and the auto shutoff are just dumb
    • Thankfully the skip back button works for this, but skip forward is mapped to Live TV, so if I'm watching something off my DVR, it exit's the show and switches to TV.
    • Oh you can try different codes and maybe control a odd and different set of remote functions, but none of them have the smart menu button, THE MOST USED BUTTON ON THE REMOTE
    • Good remote just hate the clicking buttons
    • I gave 4 stars instead of 5, because I feel that they designed the buttons too much like a ps controller and not enough like a regular remote
    • , all the buttons work as it was intended
    • Minus one star for tiny buttons, weird button layout, and a cheap feel
    • stop buttons-the remote itself feels good to use, its very comfortable and the buttons feel very nice and deliberate, not too squishy or too
    • It's very flimsy, the buttons feel like you could punch them through the remote itself if you are not careful and it rarely, if ever, accesses the PS4
    • The buttons feel nice
    • The Sony remote for the PS3 was incredible!--sturdy, great button layout, responsive
    • My only complaint is the buttons are loud.
    • I gave 4 stars instead of 5, because I feel that they designed the buttons too much like a ps controller and not enough like a regular remote
    • GoodLearning function works and was able to control TV, TV Smart functions, AMP, PS4 with use of learn functionPS4 controls normally very good little to no lag issuesWorks Amazon, Netflix, PS VueBadNo back-light so using when room is dark is almost impossible all buttons
    • The buttons feel great, and I like the slim design.
    • No illuminated button, terrible use of TV controls, Layout and PS4 controller functions missing and the auto shutoff are just dumb
    • Its buttons are soft and lack any tactile
    • It's just a bit tedious to spam the buttons and lose connection or go above the desired volume and try to lower it.-Mute with Volume Punch-through works the same way that the Volume Punch-through works, but not all the time
    • Sometimes the PS button will work (after I disconnect the bluetooth device for some reason), but no other buttons will seem to work.
    • Also would have liked to see illuminated buttons
    • It's also got extra buttons such as the Top Menu button for Blu-Ray control
    • The buttons could be placed better and easier to use but at least it works.
    • You just cannot program enough buttons
    • The main thing I wanted was the PS4 on/off feature, so that I wouldn't have to fool with the skinny button on the PS4 box when I wanted to play a DVD.
    • Button clicks lean towards the noisy side.
    • Nice enough buttons
    • It offers up the buttons one would hope to easily find and use when performing media playback and makes it much less tedious to sit and watch whatever you'd like to watch without fumbling around for the right button on the DS controller
    • Worked really well for a couple months and one by one the buttons stop working.
    • No backlights, or glow in the dark buttons.
    • For example on Amazon Video, which uses R1/R2 to add/remove content from your watch list, I would always have to grab my controller if I wanted to make changes to my watch list, because there was no way to make this remote send an R1/R2 signal (not even by using the Skip and Fast Forward buttons on the remote, which are usually mapped to R1/R2 on a controller).
    • Like the channel and volume buttons do not work when you have the PS4 selected
    • If you get a stupid good deal on it, it is nice on some occasions, and the programmable buttons are sweet.
    • It is missing buttons that other bluray remotes would have and the placement of the PlayStation shape buttons are less convenient than on the PS3 version
    • The buttons are not responsive and I'm having to press it multiple times to get it to work
    • Also smart buttons don't work in PS4 mode
    • nice clicky buttons
    • It works OK on my PS4 PRO, some buttons do nothing.
    • and it's already broken - the down button is constantly being activated despite anything I've tried
    • Also smart buttons don't work in PS4 mode
    • I no longer need to look through menus over menus to reach root menus or accidentally pressing the wrong button when I want to pause my move.
    • Specifically the directional buttons would not work when interacting with my PlayStation 4
    • There are a couple of apps that use those buttons - like amazon "add to watchlist".
    • Like the channel and volume buttons do not work when you have the PS4 selected
    • Its well build and the buttons feel nice
    • If there's no preset for your device, you can program some "soft buttons", but there's only a handful of these and they're in awkward locations, and sometimes don't work as the original remote would (holding a soft button programmed to changed volume doesn't always work, for example, one has to press repeatedly).Build quality and design are great though, it's nothing fancy, feels like any regular remote (which is good), maybe even better built than most TV remotes
    • The only snag is that I have my devices set to cut off every 30 minutes so that the controllers don't run down all of their energy, so I have to press the top PS4 button to get it to make changes on the PS4 apps
    • I love the real PS4 buttons on the remote
    • The buttons have a good sensation to them (almost feels like a Sony remote)
    • They say it is to save battery life but is total bs since the PS3 one worked fine.
