Not only do these remotes have neither a power nor volume buttons which made them almost useless, they did not work with my Roku as advertised which rendered them completely useless
It works for My Roku 2 as well as For my Roku Express.

My best guess is that customers who claim that they have to be in close proximity of their Roku unit to get the Amazon remote to work may have weak batteries in the unit or there is an obstruction between the Amazon remote and the infrared window of their Roku unit
Not only will it just not work, the batteries pop out of place when I put the battery cover back on
Put batteries into the remote and works just like the original Roku remote did.
This worked on my ROKU as soon as I put batteries in it
I put the batteries in this one and it worked instantly!
