Besides doing an excellent job at keeping the wine temps perfect, the lower zone also works for assorted cheeses, etc.

I did test the temperatures of the zones using a surface temp thermal laser and the colder zone seemed to be off by about 10 degrees and the warmer zone by only 2 or 3.

Nonetheless, the beverages in the cold zone were plenty cold.

The dual zones is perfect for us because my husband can have his fancy IPAs and DIPAs at the right temp and I can have my wine or champagnes how I want them as well

In addition to cooling drinks, we use the top zone for yogurt and other small items that were clogging the big fridge

UPDATE 09/11/19: Newair sent out a replacement unit as I was dealing with ice buildup in the top zone.

Top and bottom zones keep their temp (sodas in the top and wine in the bottom)
