    • I also could not get it to work in UAE because I did not realize that I had to retract the third prong by hand in addition to using the knob, must have been tired
    • The plug does not fit modern US prongs, where one prong is larger than the other prong.
    • For some of our appliances, the "fat" prong was too fat to fit into this thing
    • (I'd also be hesitant to try it in Italy, based on that they typically use a type L which, like Switzerland, requires an extra prong from the normal European type C.)
    • However, it does not work on American, modern outlets, one prong is longer than the other, and modern American outlets are for one size prongs
    • Most importantly, though, plugging a US plug in sparks and damages the prongs of whatever you plug in
    • It fell short in a couple areas: I woke up a couple times to find my phone hadn't charged, because the prongs had come loose
    • Some of the US plugs have a "fat" prong and a "skinny" prong
    • It was the skinny round prongs
    • Worked great for the first 3 days in Europe, and then the prong for Europe started flopping so it wouldn't work unless I propped it up in a certain way...
    • The European prongs are difficult to take out and are unstable because the adapter lacks a locking mechanism for them
    • The prongs that flip out to plug it into European sockets is very stiff and difficult to pull out
    • My mom had a different one and ended up having to use mine bc her device didn’t have long enough prongs to accommodate for the extra distance it takes from the wall to the actual outlet
    • The other prongs do not have this same issue but because I bought this for Europe, I came across it often
