While zooming in and out a heard a god awful grinding noise

Sometimes makes a loudish whirring noise when the vr is on, whichis a little worrying

I have a Nikon D5500 which I read was compatible and the AF jammed every time I tried to focus and made strange noises when trying to focus

When this first started happening,the lens, when fully zoomed to 200mm would not focus and the lens motor made a sad little squealing noise

It makes terrible noise when focusing compared to other lenses, and is not blazing fast.
