It uses WiFi AND bluetooth, it can swap between them as needed for performance reasons, but while you might think thats a good thing its implementation is horrible

As a long time loyal Nikon shooter (I have the D810 and the D500), I am terrified that the company released this camera with the hardware seeming so nice (see I did come up with one nice thing to say!!!), but with all of the infrastructure (Documentation, Snapbridge, easy of use) to make this a good product all but ignored.

and when i start recording i drop the wifi connection.. which is a good thing if it keeps it's heat

The camera is marketed as an action cam (waterproof, shockproof) however it has gyroscopic correction applied to the output video which makes anything you film with any g-forces unwatchable
