Like others, assuming that it was a nice wireless option to play while charging your joy cons.

Even if you have 2 sets of Joy-cons, I could argue that the charging station would be a better option, as it can charge 4 controllers instead of 2.

But, if you are only dropping some money on the Switch and don't want to deal with the hefty price of the pro controller, this is your best option and it works well.
