Bottom line: my husband loves having his own controller now (and prefers the feel of the Pro controller), and I usually play with the Joy-Con controller in the grip, so we are both happy.

The slightly larger buttons was a little odd at first but they also have a good feel to them

After Playing Zelda and Mario Kart 8 with this controller for a few hours, it is a great controller and feels good, but I do prefer the joycons with grip because I like the feel of those joysticks and buttons better

I love the feel of this compared to the Xbox controllers too.

All the shoulder buttons also have a really great feel to them, all four are digital (you don't need analog triggers as much as you think you do) and the ZL & ZR buttons have an ever so slight give to them, they are easy to reach and comfortable with using either one or two fingers grip style

Controller is expensive but that was before I felt the build quality and button presses, especially the top buttons L, R, ZL and ZR.
