Then once pressed using a roller, this stuff ain't going nowhere (again simple hair drier works wonders for totally softening the material and ensuring proper adhesion)

I would recommend the wheel, I could see it being difficult to get proper adhesion without it

so I'm fairly handy, material is heavy, easy to cut and malleable, exactly what you want with this sort of material, adhesion is good and over all happy with product

Use a roller for better adhesion

Backing comes off very easily, the sticky side is sticky enough to hold sheet in place by the edge or corner and so long as it's not pressed firmly, also easy to unstick and re-position

From there, I simply worked around the trunk, knocking on the sheet metal as I went and placing material where it was needed
